Paul M. Gurman
g1Paul M. Gurman has thirty years of experience in public accounting. He started his career with large international accounting firms, which provided a broad background in taxation and auditing. Mr. Gurman is the founder and managing member of Gurman and Company, PLLC and oversees all practice areas and delivery of services. Mr. Gurman also provides business planning services, merger and acquisition planning, tax planning and business planning and growth consulting services.

Mr. Gurman received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. John J. Kelly
g2John J. Kelly has been providing accounting and tax services to businesses and individuals for over 22 years in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Mr. Kelly’s focus and concentration has been on management consulting, tax and business planning for small businesses and individuals, and securities. Mr. Kelly merged his accounting and tax practice into Gurman and Company, PLLC in November 2002 after operating as a sole proprietor.

Mr. Kelly was raised in the Northern Virginia area, attended Bishop O’Connell High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in 1983. Mr. Kelly is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Northern Virginia Chapter of the Virginia Society of CPAs and has served on the Society’s Financial Planning Board. Lauren Horneff
Lauren Horneff has over 16 years of experience working in public accounting. After receiving both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from York College of Pennsylvania, Ms. Horneff worked in the audit departments of both domestic and international firms. Currently a member of Gurman & Company, PLLC’s Audit and Assurance Department, Ms. Horneff remains dedicated to ensuring that clients’ needs are met throughout the entire audit process.

Ms. Horneff is currently a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, and the Institute of Management Accountants. Ms. Horneff has gained experience working with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. In doing so, she has worked with charitable and educational organizations, museums, fraternal organizations, government contractors, franchisors, franchisees, manufacturers, technology companies, and employee benefit plans. Daniel Larson
Daniel Larson has been working in the field of accounting for over sixteen years in the Washington, D. C. metro area, since earning his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Francis Marion University. As an Enrolled Agent (EA) Mr. Larson is licensed directly by the United States Treasury Department to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Larson’s focus is centered on the tax and business-planning needs of small and medium size businesses, as well as the accounting needs of individuals and government contractors. Mr. Larson’s experience working with government contractors includes aiding in the development of program strategies, compliance risk recommendations, contract pricing, and cost accounting structures. Charles V. Monroe

Charles V. Monroe has worked in the accounting field for over twenty years and in doing so has been dedicated to helping small businesses and their owners expand their net worth and minimize their tax liabilities. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, he attended Southeastern University where he obtained his Master’s degree in Taxation. As an Enrolled Agent (EA) since 1997, Mr. Monroe is licensed directly by the United States Treasury Department to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
